Looking at the traffic in LA is really hilarious right now. This is actually the first time I have ever seen rain while visiting here. I thankfully haven't had to go out since it started raining so I've avoided the apocalypse unfolding around me. From this apartment, I have a pretty good view of the 101. As soon as it started raining, the highway basically crawled to a halt and sirens were all over the place. Before traffic totally stopped, there were quite a few ambitious nuts who were flying down the road as if it wasn't even raining! Such an interesting event to watch!

This makes me ashamed to be a Californian, but it happens every damn time it rains, especially in SoCal.

Yes, we have had a lot of rain in Louisiana the past couple of days. I’m not sure what part of LA you’re looking at, but the Shreveport area was hit the hardest.

People never fix their cars here, or they want it done for next to nothing.
Also on a related note, I work next to a paintless dent repair guy, and people treat him like a body shop; it’s the funniest thing ever. He does encourage it though by subletting it to a cheap shop down the street and charges up the ass for the work, and I don’t think he tells the customers. I’m not a fan of his at all...

Ehh when it’s not raining it doesn’t seem any worse here than anywhere else I’m used to driving. Maybe people in general can’t drive regardless of locale lol.

Very true, I just don’t like the fact that he takes advantage of people. I mean even his normal dent repair service is outrageous. He charges a minimum of 95 for tbe first dent, no matter how long it takes. Mobile guys don’t charge nearly that much. The guy I use charged me 100 for three dents. I saw a post here on Oppo where they charged him 15o I think for some really hard dents; he said he spent an hour or two on it.
And then he dies steam cleanings on cars cause he had a drain and oil separator right outside his roll up door, and he charges my shop 100, but we have to take the covers off and put it on jack stands for him and take it off when he's done. And he does a half ass job and doesn't clean the parts that need to be done. And now apparently he wants to raise his price to 125, while still doing no work. He also doesn't give a shop discount for us, he charges full boat, which is a big no no in the automotive repair sector (repaid, body, upholstery, stereo, anything). He's a greedy ass dude.

Well charging out the ass and doing poor work is definitely a bad thing then! I could see if the product was at least great, then I would say charge all you want. But yeah piss poor work and still charging crazy amounts is a bad setup.
